In 2016 Nick Halstead set about starting a motorsport career. Coached by Jamie Stanley he quickly found his feet in the 2017 Ginetta GT5 Championship.

 

Halstead went on to become a regular on the BTCC support package in the Ginetta GT4 Supercup, scoring 16 podiums – including five wins – in his debut year alone, and then entered the British GT Championship in the GT4 Pro/Am class in 2020, ending the year as Vice Champion.

Building on that success he then won the 2018 GT5 AM Class, and came third in the 2020 Ginetta GT4 Supercup.

In 2021 Nick made his British GT debut in a McLaren 570S GT4 alongside Jamie Stanley with Fox Motorsport. The pair won the ProAm class at Snetterton and Donington and finished on the podium six times, finishing the season with P2 in the GT4 ProAm Championship.

Also in 2021 Nick made his debut in the British Touring Car Championship at Snetterton which gave him a taste for rough sprint races and front wheel driving.

2022 Nick raced in the GT3 Championship in a McLaren 570S alongside Jamie Stanley where they won at the iconic Spa-Franchorchamps in Belgium. Overall finishing 6th in the championship.

Nick made his debut in Asian Le Mans series in February 2023 AM/Bronze/Silver class.
